Gift appreciated securities, such as stock, mutual fund or other investments.

Gifts of appreciated stock allow donors like you to claim a deduction based on the current market shares. Donors are then exempt from capital gains tax.

You can provide for Mathis Foundation for Children in your estate plans and realize your personal financial goals at the same time. A charitable remainder trust or similar gift keeps on giving ingot the future—your legacy to a cause you care about.

You can ensure that the outstanding services provided by Mathis Foundation for Children continue for generations to come. You can make an in-kind gift to one of our events, such as providing auction items for our annual Celebrity Golf Classic or annual Scholarship Gala. These auction items help the Foundation to raise additional scholarship funds for Mathis scholarship recipients. Other in-kind gifts include food and beverage products to be served at our Mathis events.

Also, many at-risk youth do not have family support and need to live on their own. They welcome used furniture that is in good condition. Mathis Foundation for Children is honored to accept in-kind gifts that will assist Mathis students in this manner.

Funding is being requested for a Youth Leadership Development Forum Pilot Program for adolescents age14 to 18 who are placed in out-of-home care by the Juvenile Court to develop leadership skills, decrease negative behaviors, and enhance their ability to become successful adults. The youth meet monthly for a full day program to experience life-learning opportunities. Each monthly session will consist of a motivational speaker, lunch, and a learning activity/field trip. Activities include visits to industry, educational institutions, legal/public safety departments, and fine arts venues. A volunteer mentor is assigned to each youth to engage the youth to participate fully and enrich the experience for the youth by creating a meaningful relationship with a caring adult. The mentor is responsible to create a bond with the child through regular involvement between monthly programs.
