The Mathis family has been actively involved in charitable concerns for over two decades. During this period, the Mathis family became privileged to have a family member come to them as a foster child. The experience has rewarded and enriched them all. They have since developed a great appreciation for the special needs of children, particularly those at risk or in crisis. Now, the family has made helping children in crisis their mission.The Mathis Foundation for Children has been established to serve those organizations that assist children in crisis. Through promotional programs and corporate sponsored events, the Foundation raises and distributes monies toward this effort. The primary focuses of the Foundation are issues relating to child abuse, therapeutic foster care and adoption.
The Foundation operates with a Board of Trustees representing a broad spectrum of individuals. The Foundation grants funds to Mathis Care, Inc., and other agencies the Board deems most exemplary in service to children in need. |
