Mathis Foundation for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and engaging youth living in substitute care, providing encouragement necessary to succeed in an educational environment.

The foundation was established in 1996 to fulfill the Mathis family’s dream to create a better world for abused and neglected children. Mathis Foundation for Children has supported Greater Cincinnati’s at-risk youth through foster-home placement, adoptions, scholarships, mentoring and self-sufficiency programs promoting safety, well being and success.

Since 2003, Mathis Foundation for Children has supported at-risk youth through a scholarship and mentoring program, offering students compassionate support and respect. Individual attention to each child’s education and development reveals their uniqueness and offers support specific to each child’s needs.

As a child, imagine facing daily abuse and neglect. Imagine moving into foster care or kinship care. Imagine wondering every day about your future. Children that live with this reality find hope and educational stability through the support of Mathis Foundation for Children.
